Clear Water Bay and Sai Kung photo galleries

Posted on February 13, 2021May 9, 2021 by camecamp

In the last month or so I’ve been adding or updating galleries featuring pictures from hikes in Clear Water Bay and Sai Kung. I decided to add a short guide to them here.

All the links go straight to the galleries at my photography site.

  • The Bamboo Tunnel near Pak Kong One of our favorite trails runs through a bamboo grove above Pak Kong up to Mau Ping. It’s a popular spot for selfies.
  • Ho Chung to Sai Kung via Dongyang Mountain, Buffalo Pass and Mau Ping. This includes some spectacular 360 degree views of Sha Tin, Tai Po, and Clear Water Bay from the top of Dongyang Mountains, and views of the trees, silvergrass and other vegetation. This includes sections of the Wilson Trail and Maclehose Trail.
  • Tseng Lan Shue to Ho Chung Tseng Lan Shue is a village on Clear Water Bay Road. There is a section of the Wilson Trail that goes up for a bit from Tseng Lan Shue, and then down into Ho Chung Valley, passing through forest.
  • Tseng Lan Shue to Lam Tin Another option from Tseng Lan Shue is to go south on the Wilson Trail and then cut over to Lam Tin.
  • HKUST South Gate to Hang Hau The trail from the Caltex at the HKUST South Gate down to Hang Hau has some outlooks that offer a great view of the sun setting over TKO.
  • HKUST South Gate to Tseng Lan Shue The trail from the Caltex at the HKUST South Gate over to Tseng Lan Shue passes through forest, offering some views of Po Lam and TKO, and also passes through ‘Little Hawaii’, and waterfall and some rapids at a stream that goes down into Po Lam. Lots of lovely flowers near the trail as it nears Tseng Lan Shue.
  • HKUST North Gate to Nam Wai A lovely trail from the North Gate down to the beach at Pak Shui Wan and then along the edge of the water around to Nam Wai. Lots of thick vegetation.

Here are links to my Sai Kung and HKUST galleries:

  • HKUST by day
  • HKUST by night
  • HKUST sunrises

I may go back through my older collections of photos from hikes in the Sai Kung Country Park and add to this.
