Montaña de Oro State Park
On our trips up and down the coast, we like to stop at Montaña de Oro State Park. The views of the shore and ocean from the walk along the bluffs is spectacular. The full Montaña de Oro State Park gallery is at my Smugmug site.

Oceano Dunes
On our trips back and forth on the 101, we also like to stop at the Oceano Dunes. We park at the entrance and then walk to the preserve that is off-limits to off-road vehicles. It’s always spectacular, and a lot of fun. The full gallery of Oceano Dunes photos is at my Smugmug site.
Huntington Library

Griffith Park, Los Angeles
While we were in Los Angeles in summer 2021, we visited Griffith Park. We took the shuttle to the Observatory and then walked up to Mount Hollywood.
