In conjunction with the public release of China Government Employee Dataset-Qing (CGED-Q) Jinshenlu (JSL) data for 1760-1798, we co-organized a research conference and training workshop on the China Government Employee Dataset-Qing (CGED-Q) at Central China Normal University (CCNU). Co-organizers included the CCNU School of History and Culture and Institute of Modern History and the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Centre for Quantitative History. The research conference was July 29-30, 2024 and the Training Workshop was July 31, 2024-August 2, 2024.
The research conference included invited keynote addresses by invited scholars, presentations of research papers on late imperial Chinese officialdom that used the CGED-Q and related sources, an opening session for the Digital Humanities Center at CCNU, and remarks.
At the training workshop, participants learned how to use R to conduct analysis on the publicly released CGED-Q datasets.
